The Fourteenth Operating Organizations’ Technical Directors / Nuclear Power Plants’ Chief Engineers Conference (WANO Moscow Center CNO Forum)

On October 9-10, 2024, the Fourteenth Operating Organizations’ Technical Directors/ Nuclear Power Plants’ Chief Engineers Conference (WANO MC CNO Forum) was held in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia).

The meeting was attended by 30 managers and specialists: Technical Managers (Chief Engineers) of operating organizations and  NPPs of Armenia, Bulgaria, India, Iran, China, Russia, the WANO-MC Governing Board Chairman –the Director General of the Armenian NPP, First Deputy General Director - Director of VNIIAES-NTP, First Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer of Atomenergoremont, Chief Engineer of the Moscow Branch of Atomtehenergo - “Centratomtehenergo” , Chairman and Deputy Chairman of of WANO Moscow Center CNO Forum, WANO CEO, WANO London Office International  Affairs Director, WANO MC Director, employees of WANO and Rosenergoatom Concern JSC.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange information on the main topic of the Forum "Continuous Performance Improvement: good practices, challenges and possible solutions", exchange of information on operational experience in the member organizations of the WANO Moscow Center, familiarization of participants with the WANO strategy until 2030, with the current status of the implementation of the "Action for Excellence" initiative.

During the main part of the Conference, the participants presented reports on the main and additional topics of the Conference.

Decisions were made on the issues considered, as reflected in the minutes of the Conference.

During the technical tour on October 11, the Conference participants visited the Armenian NPP site and participated in a meeting under the leadership of the Chairman of WANO Moscow Center Governing Board - Director General of the Armenian NPP Eduard Martirosyan.
