On 23 July the Armenian NPP was visited by a delegation headed by Olivier Decottignies, Ambassador of the French Republic to the RA. The delegation also included experts who had arrived in Armenia from the Framatome French company. During the meeting with the management of the ANPP important issues of interest to both sides were raised, the areas of activity of the Armenian NPP, where Armenian-French cooperation is possible, were discussed and the activities and projects successfully implemented at the ANPP jointly with the Framatome (using French technologies) were highlighted. Among the projects already being implemented or planned in the near future importance was attached to the possibility of participation of France in the process of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and different countries with the view of constructing a new unit in Armenia. The NPP management expressed its willingness to cooperate with the French side on this important issue and to study proposals for reactor technologies.

At the end of the meeting the sides presented their suggestions and expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to begin an effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the discussed areas.
