The strengthening and continuous improvement of the physical protection system of the Armenian NPP have been and remain a priority for the plant management. The working meeting that took place today, on June 7, was dedicated to this goal. The representatives of the Bria Systems s.r.o. Czech company led by Bedřich Kopecký, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the RA visited the Armenian NPP.

Welcoming the visitors, E. Martirosyan, HAEK CJSC General Director pointed out that the Armenian-Czech cooperation, which is carried out on a sustainable basis, is getting stronger year by year. The ANPP has reliable partners as represented by a number of Czech companies which carry out deliveries in specific areas and provide other industry services.

The ANPP management is interested in the accur8vision physical protection system, offered by the Bria Systems, which enables spatial detection of potential external threats using modern LIDAR technology. When appropriate financial resources are available, this system will be implemented at the plant, thereby bringing the physical protection system to a higher level.

Ambassador B. Kopecký expressed gratitude for the appreciation and effective cooperation and assured that the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Armenia, within its powers, would contribute in every possible way to strengthening the mutual cooperation.

At the end of the meeting an Armenian-Czech Memorandum was signed.

The signing of the Memorandum will contribute not only to the improvement of the ANPP physical protection system, but also to the strengthening of the Armenian-Czech partnership.
