The meeting was also attended by the Acting Chairman of the RA State Committee for Nuclear Safety Regulation, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the AOSA (Armenian On-Site Assistance) program expert and the ANPP management.
A rather comprehensive and informative meeting took place. First, the Armenian side briefly presented the history of the NPP operation and safety indicators. Since 1995, the NPP has received assistance in the amount of about 60 million US dollars, which was directed to the plant reliability and safety enhancement.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation members made a tour of some ANPP industrial premises, where they were presented, in particular, the equipment and systems that were implemented as part of the EU assistance.
