ANPP UNIT 2 HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN FOR OUTAGE-2022

On 16 April, 2022 at 00:30 the ANPP Unit 2 was shut down for annual outage-2022 which will last 73 days.

The following main activities are scheduled to be performed during outage-2022:

  • reactor intermediate maintenance with partial core refuelling,
  • general overhaul of reactor coolant pumps №4 and №5,
  • routine maintenance of reactor coolant pumps №1 and №6,
  • general overhaul of steam generators №4 and №5,
  • intermediate maintenance of turbine generators.

During outage-2022 the activities aimed at modernization of the emergency core cooling system, reliable power supply system, spray system, as well as turbine installation auxiliary systems will be continued.

Besides the employees of the ANPP main departments, specialists from Russian Federation, Croatia,  Czech Republic, Slovakia and other countries, who have an extensive experience of performing maintenance of NPP systems and equipment, will participate in the scheduled activities of outage-2022.

The specialists of the RA Committee for Nuclear Safety Regulation play a special role in this process.

The unit start-up is scheduled for 28 June, 2022.
